Chateau Talbot Caillou Blanc de Talbot 2024

Caillou Blanc de Talbot is the rare dry white wine of Chateau Talbot, a celebrated Fourth Growth from Saint-Julien in the Médoc. Made predominantly from Sauvignon Blanc with a touch of Semillon, it reflects the estate’s long-standing white-wine tradition and its refined, Burgundian-inspired approach to winemaking.

The grapes are hand-harvested and fermented, then aged in barrels on fine lees with regular bâtonnage. This careful élevage gives the wine richness, texture and complexity while preserving its lively, precise character.

Elegant and aromatic, Caillou Blanc reveals delicate notes of acacia and rose, complemented by fresh citrus and subtle mineral nuances. On the palate, it is vibrant and well-defined, with a silky texture, balanced freshness and a long, refined finish. A distinguished Bordeaux white that pairs beautifully with seafood, shellfish, grilled fish, poultry and creamy sauces.

Appellation: Bordeaux Blanc AOC

Producer: Chateau Talbot, Saint-Julien Fourth Growth (1855)

Grape varieties: Mainly Sauvignon Blanc, with Semillon

Winemaking: Barrel ageing on lees with stirring
